Villa Tranquila ( historical tidbits) Original home and avocado grove built by Dimitri Constantine and wife Helen, who were prominent Greek dancers. ( See Alan McGrew book on Escondido History) They developed the area known as Constantine Ranch. Constantine built the homes on Miller Ave. The grove cottage was built to house the workers and has been used as family quarters and guest house since the late 1940s. The adobe apartment was the original residence where the Constantines lived before the house and grove cottage were built.
