About The Position
The Verification Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and verifying auto loan applications and communicating with customers and automobile dealers regarding the loan application process.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Conduct interviews and employment and residence verification for loan applicants.
Review loan applications, clarify and obtain additional information as needed.
Verify loan application information by ordering credit, employment, and earnings reports; mail verification forms; and contact verification sources.
Develop and maintain positive business relationships with automobile dealers.
Create and maintain loan application files and database.
Maintain customer confidence by keeping all loan information confidential.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the loan processing/funding field, preferably in the auto finance industry.
Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
Ability to interact with customers in a professional, tactful and sensitive manner.
Effective communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently as well as part of a team.
High School Diploma or GED.
