Role Overview and Purpose The Lead Security Officer is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers, and all visitors.
The lead will also support the security staff and coordinate with security management in a variety of ways to maintain safety and security for Neighborhood staff and patients.
Responsibilities Performs security patrols in and around staff buildings and sites/clinics Protects property from theft, fire, and accidents Provides needed assistance to patients, employees and visitors Performs duties in a professional manner and with proper appearance Makes decisions within proper policy and procedures Escorts staff and visitors to vehicles when requested Performs basic janitorial duties Keeps self and others informed of organizational activities to promote mission and goals Functions at highest level according to credentials and competency Positively impacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy Operates to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients, employees, and other stakeholders Wears and uses appropriate safety equipment as required Uses appropriate body mechanics to ensure an injury free environment Other duties as assigned Completes SEL (Security Event Log) information Lead related duties:
Provides initial and ongoing training for other security officers Reviews and evaluates unusual occurrence reports, and assists in preparation of task logs and site training sheets Identifies potential performance issues and works directly with security leaders to help resolve them Directs other officers to respond to incidents as needed by leadership Assists security supervisor with work schedules Advises when supplies are low and and/or orders needed supplies Travels to other sites for training, special events or incident responses on occasion Educations/
Experience:
High school/GED required Current CA Guard Card required CPR certified or willing to certify within 30 days of employment Two years' experience as a security officer or similar type work required; three years preferred Must have a personal cell phone to use for work (monthly stipend provided by Neighborhood) and personal vehicle to drive between sites (mileage reimbursement paid by Neighborhood) Additional Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Knowledgeable about and experience with standard security policies and procedures Ability to understand and follow standard policies and procedures Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent planning and organizational ability Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner Physical Requirements Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
/weight Ability to stand for long periods of time Neighborhood Healthcare requires employees to be fully vaccinated (including a booster dose) against COVID-19 and demonstrate proof of vaccination/booster upon hire or receive approval for an exemption based on a medical reason, disability or religious belief.
Proof of booster dose will be contingent upon booster eligibility.
Pay range:
$21.
86 - $26.
72 per hour, depending on experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
