ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSEThe OB/GYN Physician will work to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare (Neighborhood) by providing excellent patient-centered care and services within a dynamic team environment.
The role will primarily focus on providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to our patients in an outpatient setting.
RESPONSIBILITIESDirect Patient Care:
Administers or prescribes treatments and tests including pap smears, pelvic and breast exams Conducts thorough consultations, medical histories, and physical examinations of patients Diagnoses and treats gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, infections, and menopause related symptoms Provides prenatal care, including regular check-ups, basic ultrasonography, and screenings for pregnancies, including high risk pregnancies Offers family planning services, contraceptive counseling and assists with contraceptive procedures Performs minor office-based procedures such as colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, contraceptive implants/removals, and IUD insertions/removals Educates patients on reproductive health, preventative care, and treatment options Provides counseling and support to patients regarding family planning, fertility issues and pregnancy related concerns Provider and Team Support:
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and support staff to provide comprehensive patient care Shares accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination with care teams Operates to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholders Assesses training needs and promotes developmental activities of medical staff Clinical Administration:
Advise Advanced Practice Practitioners Maintains accurate and up to date electronic medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient encounters Reviews patient files/records, including allergies, problems, medications, and immunization status Elicits and records information about patient medical history Examines patients for symptoms or physical information Orders and executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to information on patient's condition Analyzes reports and findings of tests, examinations, and diagnoses to understand the patient's current condition Determines and prescribes patient medications, dosages and schedules dependent on their conditions and allergies Prescribes and administers vaccinations to immunize patients from communicable diseases Documents patient visits, including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action Stays informed of organizational activities and promote mission and Stays abreast of the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education, maintenance of certification and professional development Reviews and responds to all forms of communication, such as emails, postal mail, voice mails Functions at highest level according to credentials and competency Impacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy Customer Relations:
Maintains professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and the public Cooperates in accomplishing department goals and objectives EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of an accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology required Board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology required Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of California is required Proficiency in conducting gynecological examinations, procedures, and obstetric care Valid DEA and CPR certification is required ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices and guidelines in obstetrics and gynecology Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based healthcare environment as well as independently Proficiency in using electronic medical record for accurate and timely documentation Dedication to providing compassionate and patient centered care Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with advancements in the field Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent planning and organizational ability Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner Pay Range:
$250,000 to $300,000 per hour, Depends on Experience (DOE) Recommended Skills Administration Cpr Certified Nurse Practitioner Clinical Works Confidentiality Customer Relationship Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
