RESPONSIBILITIESDirect Patient Care Assists with scheduling and communicating appointment information to patients Confirms and documents appointments were completed with patients and providers Provides referral process information and instructions from treating provider to patients, which may include the cost for referred services Acts as liaison between patients, clinic/providers, specialty care providers, health plans/funding sources, and community resources Reinforces information given to the patient and/or family with handouts to improve patient self-management skills and communication Provides dental education to patients during appointments, as needed Acts as a point of contact for patients and families for questions and concerns through the patient web portal and telephone Works with sites and contracted providers to increase patients access to appointments, services, and dental health care resources Impacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy Operates to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholders Administration Tracks all referrals in designated logs and eCW Makes outreach calls to patients with missed appointments based on patient treatment plans and chronic disease guidelines Assists management to plan, design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive dental quality improvement (CDQI) program Assists in educating dental team about quality improvement (QI) systems and requirements, including dentists Meets with internal and external team members to identify and problem solve QI issues Monitors dental quality key performance indicators to ensure compliance with QI standards Provides trainings to dental team in support of implementing best practices to improve quality Participates in the ongoing evaluation of the dental program operations to assure the delivery of high-quality services that support the financial sustainability of the program Mobile Dental Services (MDS) Additional Duties:
Drives Neighbor Healthcare vehicles to provide services in the communityEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Valid CA driver's license and proof of auto insurance required High school diploma/GED required One year dental customer service experience required Experience in providing dental health education in the community is preferred Experience in dental health care delivery and coordinating services preferred Experience working with community-based organizations and ethnically diverse communities preferred ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Knowledgeable about and experience with proper dental health Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent planning and organizational ability Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner Physical Requirements Ability to lift/carry 10 lbs/weight Ability to stand for long periods of time COMPLIANCE (Safety & HIPPA) Follow all safety procedures as outlined in Neighborhood Healthcare's Illness and Injury Prevention Plan (IIPP) and report any injuries and/or unsafe conditions immediately Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to safe work practices Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions Use appropriate body mechanics to ensure an injury free environment Be familiar with location of nearest fire extinguisher and emergency exits Follow all infection control procedures including blood-borne pathogen protocols Maintain privacy of all patient, employee and volunteer information and access such information only on a need-to-know basis for business purposes Comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and security obligations Report all behavior and/or activity that are unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful Neighborhood Healthcare requires employees to be fully vaccinated (including a booster dose) against COVID-19 and demonstrate proof of vaccination/booster upon hire or receive approval for an exemption based on a medical reason, disability or religious belief.
Proof of booster dose will be contingent upon booster eligibility.
Pay Range:
$21.
50 - $27.
00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE) Recommended Skills Administration Confidentiality Copy Editing Customer Service Diseases And Disorders Finance Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
