50 an hour 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago GENERAL DESCRIPTION Provide nurturing high-quality child care for children (0-12) on Sunday mornings and at other times as requested.
Teach and share the love of God in Christ through attentive care and compassion with children and parents.
We are looking for individuals who are interested in participating in the teaching and programming of our ministries as well as those who are interested in just providing supervisory care for our children in the nursery setting.
Training provided.
We usually have programs on Wednesday and Thursday Evenings that require child care, but this change depending on the season.
Sometimes our child care workers are with children of all ages and sometimes, they're just with our nursery (0-3yr) aged children.
DETAILED DUTIES Hours:
2 - 10 hours per week Hours are scheduled in advance and assigned by the Child Care Provider Lead.
Sunday morning Child Care Provider hours are usually 9:
30 am to 2:
30 pm.
As we expand our program offerings, we offer more hours for things such as programs and meetings throughout the week.
Generally weekday hours are during the evenings.
Prepare assigned child care space to welcome children and parents at the beginning of each shift.
Enthusiastically welcome children and parents and explain how the child care system of FUMCE works.
Place appropriate signage to indicate to families the availability of child care.
Follow designated check-in / check-out procedures for children and infants.
Identify any health concern of a child that might affect the health or well-being of other children and take appropriate action.
Notify supervisor of any concerns and actions taken.
Follow procedures for the reporting of any injuries or sickness occurring during the provision of child care.
Use educational materials provided by supervisors to prepare and implement Christian education enrichment activities for children.
Attend meetings as organized by Pastor-in-charge of Family Ministries.
Follow Employee Handbook, FUMCE's Local Church Policy for the Protection of Children, Youth, and Vulnerable Adults, and any other pertinent policies/procedures of FUMCE.
Work cooperatively with staff, church members, and volunteers.
Display high standards in attitude, outlook, and morals with awareness of the importance of leading by example.
Verbally communicate in a clear and understandable manner.
Practice excellent attendance and punctuality.
Understand and exercise appropriate confidentiality of church related business and personnel matters, and exercise good judgment in performance of duties.
Perform related duties as assigned by Pastor-in-charge of Family Ministries.
